It's a blessing to be a blessing...

As we embark on a new decade, we've given ample thought to goal setting and planning as I'm sure many of you have done also.  This month, we have some new products and designs we're thrilled to share with you, but more importantly, we want to share our hearts.  At LLD, one of our mottos is, "It's a blessing to be a blessing." We truly feel that there is ALWAYS something more we can do to make this world a little bit brighter.  Although we love what we do, making dog and cat collars isn't the soul purpose we have in this life.  We want to leave a legacy beyond the business we've been blessed to have.  Winston Churchill once said, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." I don't think I could've said it any better myself, so I'm not going to try.  Churchill's quote has inspired us to start a new campaign called "Live to Give." Throughout the year we will share details each time there is a new opportunity to give.

For our first, "Live to Give" project, we will be collecting new or gently used towels for the Jacksonville Humane Society, and a portion of our profits this month will be donated to JHS. We've chosen the Humane Society because they are constantly creating positive change in our community.  In 2005, they became a no-kill shelter, and with their help, Jacksonville became the nation's largest no-kill city by 2014.  Last year, JHS took in 8,895 dogs and cats.  Of those 8,895 animals, they provided food, care, spay and neuter services, and worked diligently to get 7,314 of them adopted.  With that said, the shelter needs people like you and me to help provide some basic needs. We contacted JHS and they gave us a list of items they need most. This month, we will focus on collecting new and gently used towels to assist them with grooming and cleaning.  You can drop off your donations at our booth at the Riverside Arts Market and Nocatee Farmer's Markets on these 3 dates:

February 8th and 29th at the Riverside Arts Market 10-3pm

February 15th at the Nocatee Farmer's Market from 10-2pm

Please feel free to share the infographic below with your friends and family along with your social media pages. We thank you in advance for joining us to impact our community!
